Transitional

Transitional programmes are offered upon completion of our standard Intensive programmes. The purpose of a transitional phase is to ease the client from the intensity of daily rehabilitation activities towards increased self-responsibility. You will still receive therapeutic support, yet you will learn to embrace the self-motivation and direction required to maintain and enhance any lifestyle gains made throughout the rehabilitation process.

At this stage, your programme is scaled back to give you more time to practice all you have learnt. You may also at this stage begin to explore other life-enhancing activities – such as taking classes, making use of more time to plan your life in recovery, or reconnecting with friends and family.

The transitional phase is also the time to begin planning after-care support and establishing safe boundaries to protect you when you return home.
