Heroin and cocaine are powerful, addictive and illegal narcotics. The devastating results of the abuse of these drugs, both on the individual and on those around them are well documented. Less well known are the damaging effects of so called recreational drugs such as extacy (e, ecstacy etc.) and marijuana (pot, dope etc).

The Sanctuary Byron Bay is the world’s most private and intensive drug and alcohol rehab or treatment centre. We offer comprehensive and individually tailored drug programs tailored to suit the individual’s needs and requirements. A stay with The Sanctuary Byron Bay usually commences with a gentle and rapid, medically supervised detoxification (detox) process.

Our therapists help the client to understand the underlying causes of their drug addiction and the reasons why they choose to abuse drugs including heroin, cocaine, amphetamines and extacy (ecstacy). The therapists at The Sanctuary then work with the client to develop ways of dealing with these causes without the use of heroin, amphetamines cocaine or alcholol

The range of treatments for drug addiction on offer at The Sanctuary Byron Bay is extensive and provided by the finest experts in their fields. During his or her time with us the client will be assigned a team of at least 6 different therapists. Depending on their need the client will have available to them a psychologist, Gestalt therapist, yoga teacher, shiatsu and massage practitioner, naturopath and fitness trainer. If a client has a need for a form of therapy that is not expertly met by our staff we will find the best professional in the field and invite them to join The Sanctuary team for the duration of this client’s stay.

We do not ask our clients to conform to any predetermined drug program and we are not like any other drug rehab or drug treatment center. Everyone who arrives at The Sanctuary Byron Bay is an individual and is treated as such.
